Shipping policy

​Thank you for visiting and shopping at Leaven Books. Please note that processing time is different from shipping time. 

Based on your order; a delivery estimate will be given. Leaven Books is not responsible for late shipments due to Holidays, Natural Disasters, Inclement Weather, or Carrier Delays. Leaven Books is NOT responsible for lost or stolen packages. Please note the delivery date assigned to your tracking number to avoid any incidents of stolen items.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING POLICY​

​Items are shipped via Jamaica Post within 14-21 business days however, due to the pandemic, please allow up to 24 business days. Orders are shipped only on Tuesdays and Fridays. For international orders, please allow an additional 7 days. 

​Once the item is shipped, you will receive a tracking number. It is your responsibility to ensure that you input the correct address when placing your order. Any order returned via the Post Office (P.O.) will attract a new shipping label and the cost from you the customer.

Once products are scanned at the P.O., we are no longer responsible for the product.

If the product was updated delivered and for some reason, you did not receive it, it is the receiver’s responsibility to contact their local P.O.  You can also contact us via email and we will try our best to guide you in the right direction.

DOMESTIC SHIPPING POLICY (JAMAICA)

​Products will be delivered using ZIP Mail, Knutsford Express or other local couriers. Shipping normally takes 1-5 days depending on the shipping option selected and your location.

Once the item is shipped, you will receive a tracking number where applicable or an email. It is your responsibility to ensure that you input the correct address when placing your order. Any order returned to us via the Post Office will attract a new shipping label and the cost paid by you the customer, if applicable.

Once products are in the possession of the shipping company (Zipmail, Knutsford Express or other Courier), Leaven Books is no longer responsible for the product. You will be required to sign for your package upon delivery. If the product was updated, delivered and for some reason, you did not receive it, it is the receiver’s responsibility to contact their local P.O. if you selected Zip Mail or Knutsford Express, if it is another local courier company please send an email and we will contact them. You can also contact us via email and I will try my best to guide you in the right direction.

SHIPMENT CONFIRMATION & ORDER TRACKING

​You will receive a Shipment Confirmation email once your order has shipped containing your tracking number(s). The tracking number will be active within 24 hours.

CUSTOMS, DUTIES, AND TAXES

​Leaven Books is not responsible for any customs and taxes applied to your order. All fees imposed during or after shipping are the responsibility of the customer (tariffs, taxes, etc.).

DAMAGES

​Leaven Books is not liable for any products damaged or lost during shipping. If you received your order damaged, please contact the shipment carrier to file a claim. Please save all packaging materials and damaged goods before filing a claim.

​You can further contact us immediately to address any discrepancies; however, NO refunds are permitted and credit is not applicable to future purchases due to the nature of the products provided by Leaven Books.
